Description

1-Day Mwanza to Serengeti National Park : The focus of most safaris in northern Tanzania, Serengeti National Park is renowned as the arena for the world’s greatest mammal migration. Even away from this iconic wildlife spectacle, the Serengeti’s sheer density of animals makes for incredible wildlife viewing throughout the year. The southern plains near Seronera are the most popular, but it’s also worth exploring the Western Corridor and Mara River regions.

You’ll embark on a thrilling one-day safari to Serengeti National Park from Mwanza, perfect for travelers short on time but eager to experience Tanzania’s world-famous wildlife. With its vast plains, abundant wildlife, and breathtaking landscapes, the Serengeti offers an unforgettable adventure in just one day.

Itinerary

Your journey begins early in the morning with a hotel pick-up in Mwanza, followed by a scenic 2-3 hour drive to the western entrance of Serengeti National Park (Ndabaka Gate). Upon arrival, you’ll begin your exciting game drive, exploring the park’s vast savannahs and searching for the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinos—along with cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, hippos, and countless wildebeests.

At midday, you’ll enjoy a packed picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the park, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and wildlife. After lunch, you will continue your afternoon game drive, covering more of the Serengeti’s diverse ecosystems, from acacia woodlands to open plains teeming with predators and prey. In the late afternoon, you’ll exit the park and drive back to Mwanza, arriving in the evening with incredible safari memories and our driver-guide will drop you off at the airport or your hotel in Mwanza.
