Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park:

 

Our expert guide will pick you up early in the morning from Dar. You will begin a 4-5 hours road journey, making a pitstop in Morogoro for a short breakfast before continuing to Mikumi. Along the way, you’ll marvel at the captivating views of Uluguru Mountain and scenic surroundings. You’ll arrive at the park for an afternoon game drive until sunset. Lunch will be ready and prepared inside the park in a regulated area during lunch hours. Watch the sunset with a soft drink or beer as you conclude your safari experience for the first day. If time allows you may also do a cultural visit at the Masai village upon your interest. This unique experience offers the chance to witness wild animals such as lions, leopards, elephants and hyenas. You will conclude the day with a restful overnight stay at the Midrange Lodge.

Day 2: Mikumi National Park then Dar es Salaam

 

After your breakfast, you will begin the morning game drive in search of elephants, giraffes, lions, and hippos in the Hippo Pools. You’ll also see warthogs, buffaloes, and elands. The park is also decorated by its superbly scenic plains and baobabs and it is home to various wild animals and bird species. The park is endowed with a spectacular concentration of wildlife which is rarely seen in other parks like magnificent Sable antelope, African hunting dogs, wildebeest and others. The gentle foothills and vast miombo woodland savanna in the southern parts of the park are quite spectacular. Then, you’ll head to visit a Maasai village tour after your safari game drive if you didn’t have it a day before. Later, the guide will drive you back to Dar after your lunch.
